Purchase Policy

Our goal is to make your purchasing experience easy, efficient and equitable, so we can get you on your way to live events as quickly as possible. The following is designed to ensure your satisfaction and understanding of the purchase process on the Selectyourtickets sites (collectively, the “Site”). If you have any questions, please contact us. Your purchases on our Site are subject to these terms. Please also review our Terms of Use which govern your use of our Site.

Currency

All ticket prices are stated in Canadian Dollars.

Payment Methods

We accept several methods of payment to accommodate your needs. Selectyourtickets accepts, among other forms of payment, Visa, and MasterCard.

Who You Are Buying From?

Selectyourtickets acts as the agent to those who provide events, such as venues, teams, artist representatives and fan clubs, promoters and leagues (“Event Providers”). We generally sell tickets on behalf of our clients including artists, teams, venues, and promoters, though in some rare instances we may own a small number of tickets as part of our services contract with the individual client. When you purchase a ticket for an event that is located in Canada, then Selectyourtickets will be handling the transaction and collecting payment for the Event Provider.

Tickets obtained from unauthorized sources may be lost, stolen or counterfeit, and if so are void.

Pricing and Availability

We sell tickets on behalf of Event Providers, which means we do not set the ticket prices or determine seating locations. Our clients typically set the face price of their tickets. Tickets are generally sold through several distribution points, including websites, apps and box offices. Most distribution points generally access the same ticketing system and inventory; therefore, tickets for popular events may sell out quickly. Occasionally, additional tickets may be available prior to the event. However, we do not control this inventory or its availability. Selectyourtickets may charge fulfillment, shipping, service or other fees for using our services.

Order Confirmation

If you do not receive a confirmation number (in the form of a confirmation page or email) after submitting payment information, or if you experience an error message or service interruption after submitting payment information, it is your responsibility to confirm via our customer support whether or not your order has been placed. Only you may be aware of any problems that may occur during the purchase process. We will not be responsible for losses (monetary or otherwise) if you assume that an order was not placed because you failed to receive confirmation.

Service Fees and Order Processing Fees

Tickets purchased on our Site are typically subject to a per ticket service fee and a per order processing fee. In many cases, delivery fees will also be owed. You may be able, in some instances, to purchase tickets directly from the venue box office without paying our service fee. For resale tickets, the buyer will pay fees that may be reflected during the purchase process or that may be included and deducted from the amount displayed as the resale price of the ticket.

Number of Tickets or “Ticket Limits”

When purchasing tickets on our Site, you are limited to a specified number of tickets for each event (also known as a “ticket limit”). This ticket limit is posted during the purchase process and is verified with every transaction. This policy is in effect to discourage unfair ticket buying practices. Each Ticketmaster account must be linked to a unique individual and contain valid, and verifiable, information. Multiple accounts may not be used to circumvent or exceed published ticket limits. We reserve the right to cancel any or all orders and tickets, in addition to prohibiting your ticket purchase abilities, without notice to you, if you exceed or attempt to exceed, the posted ticket limits. Any tickets, cancelled due to violating the posted ticket limit, will be refunded at face value (excluding fees). This includes orders associated with the same name, e-mail address, billing address, credit card number or other information.

Opening Acts / Festival Acts

Opening acts or guests may sometimes tour with headlining performers. We are not always made aware of opening acts or the length of their performances. Opening acts, as well as festival performers, are subject to change or cancellation at any time without notice. No refund will be owed if an opening act or festival performer is changed or cancelled.

Cancelled and Rescheduled Events

Occasionally, an event is cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, or venue operator due to weather, scheduling, or other unforeseen circumstances. In certain instances, we may also cancel an event due to problems with the promoter or the event listing, should this occur, we will attempt to contact you to inform you of refund or exchange procedures for that event.

For exact instructions on any cancelled or postponed event, please check the event information online or contact us. Select Your Tickets usually only offers refunds and/or exchanges based on the promoter’s or venue operator’s instructions and it is their sole discretion whether to offer a refund or exchange. In order to receive a refund or an exchange that may be offered, you will have to comply with the promoter’s or venue operator’s instructions or deadlines.

If a refund is issued, it will be issued using the same method of payment that was used to purchase the tickets. If a credit card was used to make the refunded purchase, then only that actual credit card will receive the credit for the refund. Special delivery prices or any other fees or amounts will not be refunded.

If an event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. Contact us for exact instructions.

Refunds and Exchanges

Before purchasing tickets, carefully review your event and seat selection. Policies set forth by Event Providers generally prohibit us from issuing exchanges or refunds after a ticket has been purchased or for lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets. For many events, certain tickets may be exchanged for tickets from us of equal or higher price. A per ticket exchange fee may apply. In addition, we may occasionally offer tickets at a discount after the original on sale date and will not refund the difference between the original price and the sale price. Seating maps are representative of a venue’s layout; however, they are subject to change at any time and refunds are not allowed if the map is updated or if additional seats/rows are added after purchase.

It is the sole discretion of the promoter or venue operator to offer any refunds and/or exchanges. In order to receive a refund or an exchange that may be offered, you will have to comply with the promoter’s or venue operator’s instructions.

Account, Order, and Billing Information Verification

All information on accounts and orders must be valid and are subject to verification. Orders that are placed, or attempted to be placed, using an account in which any information entered is found to be false, misleading, incorrect, incomplete or cannot be verified as belonging to the account holder, such as name, address, email address, phone number, or other, are subject to cancellation, at any time. Orders are subject to credit card approval and processed only after the billing address, associated with your credit card, and other billing information, has been verified.

Delivery Options

Select Your Tickets offers various methods of confirming and receiving your tickets.

If the purchaser requires different means of delivery, such as priority post or courier, all costs will be the responsibility of the purchaser and Select Your Tickets has no liability regarding delivery, delivery time, loss or damage, and so forth due to shipping or other circumstances.

We reserve the right to change your delivery method as we see fit.

Pricing and Other Errors

If you find the price billed overstated from that advertised or indicated, or other important billing or delivery information incorrect please contact us a soon as possible for correction.

If the price billed is grossly understated, regardless of the price indicated or posted on this site, or because of a transactional error, Select Your Tickets reserves the right to cancel the ticket order and refund the amount paid.

Ticket reselling or Commercial Use

No person or persons will link to this site or in reference to it for the purpose of selling tickets of any kind. We will investigate and take appropriate legal action and remove/bar such violators from use of this site. Select Your Tickets reserves the right to cancel a ticket order or limit access to any user known or believed to be associated with any ticket broker, ticket reseller, illegal venture, or the likes. Individuals or companies utilizing automated means to place ticket orders, whose ticket order exceeds the stated limit, or who has resold tickets at higher than face-value will have their tickets cancelled and access blocked to this site without notice. Tickets obtained from unauthorized sources are at your own risk, not guaranteed and may be void. Customers can report resold ticket orders to info@selectyourtickets.com.

Admittance & Identity

Select Your Tickets will only release possession of the ticket(s) to a named ticket holder and will only authorize the ticket personnel to release the ticket(s) if you bring either the credit card used in the booking transaction or your booking reference number as provided in your confirmatory e-mail to the ticket collection point.

You must bring printed tickets and/or the confirmation information with you to the event. Additionally, while not all events require identification, on some occasions, government-issued identification will be required by the promoter. For this reason, we recommend that you bring a valid and current government-issued photo identification (“ID”) with you to the Event. When arriving at an event, there will only be one entry per ticket. If there are multiple parties attempting to enter using the same ticket, only the first party that arrived with the ticket will be admitted.

Disputes

If you have a dispute and your dispute involves an event (or a ticket for an event) or if you have a dispute regarding this site but not regarding an event, then the dispute will be governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia without regard to its conflict of law provisions and you consent to personal jurisdiction, and agree to bring all actions, exclusively in courts located in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Multiple Browser Windows

When ordering tickets online with us, please ensure you are looking for tickets and placing an order using only one browser window. Looking up tickets using multiple browser windows could result in losing your tickets, errors occurring during the purchase process, or timer expiration.

License; Ejection and Cancellation; No Redemption Value

You agree to comply with all of the Event Providers’ applicable rules, policies, terms and conditions (“Event Provider Rules”). Event Providers reserve the right, without refund of any amount paid, to refuse admission to, or eject, any person whose conduct management deems disorderly, who uses vulgar or abusive language or who fails to comply with Event Provider Rules. Breach of terms or rules will terminate your license to attend the event without refund. A ticket is a revocable license and admission may be refused upon refunding the ticket’s face amount. A ticket is not redeemable for cash.

Recording, Transmission and Exhibition

You agree that the event for which you purchase tickets is a public event, that your appearance and actions inside and outside the venue where the event occurs are public in nature, and that you have no expectation of privacy with regard to your actions or conduct at the event. You grant permission to us, the Event Provider(s), our partners, licensees and assigns, including but not limited to our brand and media partners, to utilize your name, image, likeness, acts, poses, plays, appearance, movements, and statements in any live or recorded audio, video, or photographic display or other transmission, exhibition, publication or reproduction made of, or at, the event (regardless of whether before, during or after play or performance) for any purpose, in any manner, in any medium or context now known or hereafter developed, without further authorization from, or compensation to, you or anyone acting on your behalf.

You Are Subject to Search

You and your belongings may be searched on entry to the event. You consent to such searches and waive any related claims that may arise. If you elect not to consent to such searches, you may be denied entry to the event without refund or other compensation. Under certain facility rules, certain items may not be brought into the premises, including without limitation, firearms, alcohol, drugs, controlled substances, cameras, recording devices, laser pointers, strobe lights, irritants (e.g., artificial noisemakers), bundles and containers.

Ticket Disclaimer

Ticket Holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior to, during, or after the same, including, but not limited to the danger of being injured by thrown, batted, kicked, shot, struck etc. objects such as balls, bats, hockey sticks, pucks, racquet, and other equipment. Or by other spectators or players. Ticket Holder voluntarily agrees that the management facility, league, participants, participating clubs, and all their respective agents, officers, directors, owner, and employees are expressly released by holder from any claim arising from such causes.

Management reserves the right to refuse admission or expel any individual(s) whose conduct is objectionable or offensive. Expulsion forfeits all and any claims to refund or otherwise. Tickets deemed lost or stolen will not be honored and entry denied. Admission is subject to rules, laws, and by laws of the facility. Failure to comply may result in non- admission or expulsion. In accordance with the facilities; alcohol, illegal drugs, cameras, recording devices, bags, and containers may be excluded from the premises. Ticket holder consents to a reasonable examination of his/her belongings prior to entry or during occupation of facility to ensure compliance. No ticket shall be resold or offered for any commercial purpose without the express written consent of the producers or promoters. All ticket sales final, no refund or exchanges.

You assume all risks, hazards, and dangers arising from or relating in any way to the risk of contracting a communicable disease or illness (including exposure to COVID-19, a bacteria, virus, or other pathogen capable of causing a communicable disease or illness), whether occurring before, during, or after the event, however caused or contracted, and hereby waives all claims and potential claims against Selectyourtickets and Event Providers relating to such risks.

COVID-19 INFORMATION
We are aware of the BC Government announcement requesting to suspend all gathering of 50 people or more. We are waiting for confirmation of which events are affected and if they will be rescheduled.
