Rock The Lake 2024

Tom Cochrane, Theory of a Deadman, Our Lady Peace, and 54-40 Announced Alongside Date Changes for Rock The Lake 2024

Rock The Lake Festival announces date changes to accommodate one of the largest Rock line-ups the Okanagan has ever seen!

KELOWNA, B.C., April 11, 2024 – Rock The Lake has announced this summer’s 2024 festival with its largest line-up yet, featuring some of the biggest bands in history and a shift to the initial dates. The iconic summer festival is now set to take place on July 12-14th, 2024 at the outdoor plaza at Prospera Place in Kelowna, B.C, just steps away from beautiful Okanagan Lake.

2023 was one of the largest events in the festival’s seven-year history, smashing previous attendance records. Festival organizers have shared that this summer’s lineup features a significant increase in the investment to bring internationally recognized rock stars to the Okanagan. After narrowly avoiding the devastating wildfire season last August, and after other festivals in the region were forced to reschedule due to wildfires, the organizers have moved the festival earlier in the summer.

“We understand that many of our most loyal RTL fans have made plans around the previous dates, and we are reaching out to these affected customers directly,” explains Mike Strawn, VP & General Manager of Sports, Media and Entertainment for GSL Group. “The choice to move the dates was not an easy one, however, we are fully invested in this community and event, and we feel we needed to make this change to set this festival and community up for success. “

The First Wave of Bands Released

The first wave of artists in Rock The Lake’s 2024 lineup includes rock legends Tom Cochrane, Theory of a Deadman, Our Lady Peace and 54-40, with more band announcements to come, and the full lineup and schedule to be released at a later date.

Canadian songwriting legend Tom Cochrane is returning to the festival grounds at Prospera Place for the first time since 2019, playing iconic classics like Life is a Highway and No Regrets. The eight-time Juno award winner and Canadian Music Hall of Famer will pull from five decades of his catalog to get rock fans from across generations dancing in the Okanagan summer.

Cochrane will share the weekend with B.C.’s own Theory of a Deadman, who will put on their biggest show to date in the city. The grunge-alt trio is ready and excited to transport the crowd to the prime of 2000s grunge rock with hits like Bad Girlfriend.

Our Lady Peace will be belting out singalong hits, like Somewhere Out There and Superman’s Dead during the weekend as well. Fellow Canadians, the record-setting band is known for their creative and enticing live shows, not to be missed.

The plethora of Canadian talent will be joined by another B.C. band, 54-40 who, like others on the bill, span decades of Canadian rock music history. Catch them playing bangers like Casual Viewin’ on the lakeside stage.
