The Victoria Symphony is excited to present a district-wide event called Rink Cycle II on April 9, 2017! Up to 1,500 students from greater Victoria (strings, bands and choirs) will perform with the orchestra and Tania Miller at Save-On-Foods Arena. This event will incorporate movement and dance as well as showcase young musical talent and the importance of music for students of all ages! Rink Cycle II will celebrate Canada’s 150 birthday with an all Canadian composed repertoire and local First Nations.

Rink Cycle II (April 9, 2017) is a culmination in many ways, bringing together hundreds of students in a participatory project that uses their artistic skills and celebrates community. We are very excited to offer schools the opportunity to be a part of this major event, working with the professionals of the Victoria Symphony, and celebrating their own efforts, their community and their nation. Special thanks to project artistic director and music education specialist Marcelline Moody.
