About the Moose Hide Campaign
The Moose Hide Campaign is an Indigenous-led grassroots movement working to end violence towards women and children in communities across Canada. The organization raises awareness through various campaigns including educational sessions, Moose Hide Campaign Day on May 16, and moose hide pins which are worn to spark conversation and symbolize solidarity. These collective efforts signify a united front against gender-based violence, promoting a safer and more inclusive society for all. The GSL Group (Victoria Royal Hockey Club and SOFMC) are proud of the partnership, emphasizing its educational impact on the Victoria Royals Hockey Club and society at large. The alignment between the Moose Hide Campaign and the hockey team, particularly targeting young men, is seen as a significant step in fostering positive role models and combatting gender-based violence.
